Study at Goldey Beacom College
Goldey-Beacom College is located in Wilmington, Delaware, and was established in 1886. The college was originally known as the Wilmington Commercial College which was founded by Mr. Goldey. One of his best instructors, W.H. Beacom, opened his own school in 1900. This school was renamed Beacom College in 1929. The two institutes merged in 1951 to form the Goldey-Beacom College. The Goldey-Beacom College offers a number of associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in various fields of study. The sports teams of Goldey-Beacom College participate in the NCAA Division II level. The teams compete in soccer, tennis, cross country, basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf. The students publish an on-campus magazine called "The Bolt". Besides, they are also associated with organizations such as the Resident Student Association, Alpha Chi, International Students Association, and Student Athletic Advisory Council. The main campus of Goldey Beacom is in Wilmington, DE (a large suburb). The school is a private, not-for-profit school. Goldey Beacom offers degrees up to the Master's degree.
