Study at Florida Career Institute Profile of Florida Career Institute Florida Career Institute (FCI), located in Mulberry, Florida, has been serving the South Lakeland area for 20 years. The Institute offers career training and diploma programs in business, computer technology, and medical fields. FCI maintains relationships with a variety of businesses and government agencies in order to craft the most effective and relevant career education for its students and to help the Institute place its graduates in rewarding jobs. Each student at Florida Career Institute receives comprehensive training in programs that utilize up-to-date classrooms and technology. FCI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) and is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education. Points of Distinction Course Topics FCI offers career training diploma programs in the following Course Topics: Florida Career Institute Admissions Qualifications for admissions include a high school diploma or its equivalent. All applicants are required to complete a personal information sheet. During a personal interview with FCI's admissions staff, career goals are reviewed in order to determine the right program to fit the applicant's needs. Applicants then complete an Enrollment Agreement and confirm financial planning. Every individual will be given an opportunity to tour the facility. Florida Career Institute Faculty Quality FCI's instructors are chosen for their demonstrated competency in terms of education, training and technical expertise. They demonstrate the Institute's philosophy that students learn best in an atmosphere of professionalism, warmth and concern for the individual. Florida Career Institute Student Enrollment FCI students comprise a mix of those wishing to start a career and those looking to change their current employment situation. Enrollment is roughly 150 students with an 8:1 female-to-male ratio. Bordering Mulberry to the north is Lakeland and only 30 miles to the west is Tampa. Within an easy drive are beaches and lots of attractions: Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Cypress Gardens, and Cape Canaveral.
