The University of Tampa Florida Graduate Programs
Graduate Study
The University of Tampa offers three graduate programs designed to prepare students for advanced leadership roles in their careers and communities:
MBA concentrations are available in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems management, international business, management, and marketing. About two-thirds of UT's MBA students work full-time and attend classes in the evenings.
The University of Tampa’s MBA program prepares
students to become effective business leaders.
Through course work, experiential learning, and
mentoring relationships, MBA students have
numerous opportunities to develop core skills
and grow confident in their ability to make
important strategic decisions.
The program teaches the key functions of business, as well as skills for creative problem-solving, effective decision-making, and sound analytical skills. Through course work, lecture series, experiential learning, and social opportunities, students learn to both lead and work with diverse, talented colleagues. For more information, prospective students should investigate the Web site, see MBA FAQ, or contact the Graduate Programs Office at (813) 258-7409 or mba@ut.edu.
The Master of Science in Technology and Innovation Management (MS-TIM) degree is intended to train computer scientists, engineers and scientists to assume management positions in technology-intensive companies. Managers employed in technology-intensive environments will also benefit from the program. Students accepted into the program are expected to have at least two years of responsible work experience.
The MS-TIM graduate program is designed to
develop talented professionals into strong
business leaders. Different from an MBA or a
technical degree, the program offers advanced
business education for managing innovation and
the effective use of technology.
Classes are taught by engaged and accessible teachers willing to share their knowledge and deep expertise. Faculty are award-winning authors and researchers, industry experts and successful executives.
For more information, prospective students should investigate the Web site, see MS-TIM FAQ, or contact the Graduate Programs Office at (813) 258-7409 or mstim@ut.edu.
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is available in several areas: family or adult nurse practitioner and nursing education. Other options available include post-master's certificates in all of the above concentrations and a RN/BSN/RSN program, which enables registered nurses to complete both the BSN and MSN in seven semesters.
Admission to the MSN Program is competitive. Students must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants who do not meet all the criteria described below may be eligible for admission with Pre-MSN or conditional status. Such applicants will be given specific guidance and a timeline for completing all criteria in order to be officially admitted to graduate status.
International AdmissionWith students enrolled from nearly 100 countries, UT proudly considers students from around the world for freshman or transfer admission. Students may pursue a degree or enroll for a semester or a one-year study program. The International Programs Office staff assists students with pre-arrival information, orientation and advice on academic, social, cultural and employment matters. Both undergraduate admission and graduate admission into The University of Tampa are competitive, and prospective students are encouraged to apply early. Applicants should carefully note deadlines and submit materials accordingly. |
