The University of West Florida, or UWF, is a public university located in Pensacola, Florida, United States of America. It was founded in 1963. The main campus of UWF spreads across an area of 1,600 acres. The 2008 and 2009 edition of US News and World Report ranked UWF as a fourth tier postsecondary institution in the National Universities category.
