While its original mission back in its founding year of 1962 was to provide fashion merchandising training, Bauder College has since added several additional career education tracks for its students to follow. The college is located in Atlanta near the campus of Georgia Tech.

The college is now under the ownership of Kaplan Higher Education, a division of Kaplan, Inc.

Course Topics

Students at Bauder College have the option to pursue degrees and diplomas in one of several categories: Business, criminal justice, fashion, information technology and health care. Depending on the particular track chosen, students may earn a certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree.

Bauder College Admissions

Proper documentation of completion of high school (or an acceptable substitute, such as a GED) is required for admission. Some students may need to take the college's admissions exam and receive an acceptable grade as determined by the college.

Also, financial arrangements for meeting tuition payments must be in place before attending the school. Qualified students are eligible for aid and the vast majority of students attending Bauder do in fact receive grants and/or loans.

The teaching staff at the college has the necessary educational and experiential background to deliver the participatory, hands-on education consistent with the school's mission.

Student Enrollment

The majority of the school's roughly 550 students report African-American background. Female students are more numerous than male students by about a 3-1 ratio, based on recent enrollment data that the school reported to the government.
