Study at South Georgia College
South Georgia College, often abbreviated as SGC, is a co-educational, community college located in Douglas, Georgia, United States. It was founded on August 18, 1906 under the name of 11th District A and M School. It was renamed as South Georgia College in 1927, and became the first state-supported two-year college in Georgia. The college campus is spread across 190 acres of urban land. SGC offers study through the following academic divisions:
The athletics teams of South Georgia College, known as the Tigers, participate in basketball, soccer and softball. They can also participate in club sports and intramural sports, such as, flag football, volleyball, weightlifting, golf, cross country, billiards and table tennis.
