The University of West Georgia, also called UWG, is a comprehensive, residential, State University located in Carrollton, Georgia, United States. It was founded in the year 1906. The university's motto is "Educational Excellence in a Personal Environment." UWG's campus is spread across an area of over 600 acres. The university offers more than 100 programs of study through the following academic divisions:

University of West Georgia's athletics program fields men's intercollegiate teams in football, baseball, basketball, and cross country; and women's teams in cross country, basketball, softball, soccer, and volleyball. The sports teams are nicknamed the Wolves.
