Study at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science

 

The Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science was founded as the Chicago Hospital-College of Medicine in 1912. The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine merged with the university in 2002 and the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science was given its present name in 2004. The campus of RFUMS is spread across 50 acres of land in North Chicago, Illinois.

The Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science offers a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree programs in the fields of healthcare education and inter-professional medical. The university is comprised of the following academic divisions:

  • The Chicago Medical School
  • The College of Health Professions
  • The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine
  • The School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies

Students of RFUMS are involved in various clubs and organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Medical Student Association, the International Health Interest Group, the Illinois Podiatric Medical Students'Association and the Emergency Medicine Interest Group. The athletics department of the university fields teams in indoor soccer, indoor volleyball, basketball, table tennis and rock climbing.
