Indiana University Northwest was established in 1963. It is a public coeducational university campus under the Indiana University system. Located in Gary, Indiana, IU Northwest’s campus sits on 36 acres of land and offers enrollment to more than 4,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Indiana University Northwest offers a number of associates, bachelors and masters degrees in arts and sciences, business studies, economics, education, labor studies, library and information science, and health and human services. IU Northwest’s sports teams are nicknamed the Redhawks. They participate in baseball, basketball and volleyball. The university also sponsors over 70 student clubs and organizations.
