The University of New England (UNE), founded in 1831, is an independent coed university with campuses in two coastal cities (Portland and Biddeford) in the state of Maine. The University offers degree programs in health sciences, natural sciences, human services, management, education and the liberal arts. UNE's Department of Education offers a variety of professional education programs designed for practicing teachers. of particular interest are four Master of Science in Education (MSEd) programs and one Certificate program which can be completed online as part of UNE's Distance Education initiative.

Course Topics
UNE offers four innovative Master of Science in Education (MSEd) programs completely online. These programs are designed for teachers wishing to strengthen their classroom practice. Degrees are available in the following concentrations:
