Study at College of Southern Maryland
Founded in 1958, the College of Southern Maryland or CSM is a public, regional community college, located in La Plata, Maryland. It has campuses and training centers in Charles County, St. Mary's County and Calvert County. The four campuses in Southern Maryland are: CSM confers over 120 programs in different fields of study, including Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degree programs. CSM also offers a wide range of continuing education certificates and career training programs. The official mascot of CSM is "Hawks". The College has 5 intercollegiate men's teams and 5 intercollegiate women's teams that compete in the NCJAA, Division III. The College also has a cheerleading team. College of Southern Maryland is found in La Plata, MD. La Plata is a rural site not far from an urban area. The school is a public institution.
