Study at Morgan State University
Morgan State University is a public, urban university located in residential Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was established in 1867 as the Centenary Biblical Institute, a Methodist Episcopal seminary, to train young men in the ministry. It gained university status in 1975. Morgan offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse Course Topics. The university is organized into the following academic divisions: Morgan's athletic teams are known as the Bears. They compete in the Mideastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The university has an active Greek life with several NPHC organizations. Morgan State is found in Baltimore, MD. Baltimore is a large city. The school is a public institution. Students can earn degrees up to and including the Doctoral degree at Morgan State. Course TopicsThe school is known for its programs in media, engineering, architecture and planning, and family and social work. Morgan State SelectivityAdmission to Morgan State is not automatic; not everyone who applies gets in. Hats off to the 42% of those who apply who get accepted. Three quarters of students in 2007 had SAT verbal scores of at least 410. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 400 and 490.
