Profile of TESST College of Technology
TESST College of Technology can be traced back about fifty years when TESST Technology Institute, an electronics training school, opened its doors in Hyattsville, Maryland. The school has since expanded its scope and reach, now with four campuses in Maryland and Virginia and multiple program areas. After gaining approval for conferring associate of science degrees in 2001, the school change its name to TESST College of Technology.
Kaplan Higher Education is the owner of TESST and a handful of other career-oriented post-secondary institutions across the country.

TESST College of Technology Admissions and Financial Aid
Getting into TESST requires meeting some basic requirements but otherwise it’s an open and non-competitive system. Prospective students are expected to be high school grads, possess a GED or, for some programs and for those of sufficient age, pass a basic competency test administered by a third party.
As with just about all post-secondary schools, there’s a tuition bill that needs to be paid. However, student aid may be available to qualified applicants to help ease the burden. In fact, the vast majority of students who attend the school receive some form of assistance. TESST’s Financial Aid office helps students work through the details of the process.
TESST College of Technology Faculty Quality
The school’s faculty members draw upon their workplace experience and relevant educational background to deliver the practical career education that make students attractive to employers after graduation.

Enrollment at the campuses range from a few hundred at the Alexandria campus to over 1000 at the Baltimore location. There are more women than men at each location, although the gender ratio varies among locations and within programs.
