Study at Hampshire College Profile of Hampshire College Hampshire is located in a town not far from a more urbanized area, in Amherst, MA. The school is a private, not-for-profit institution. Degree levels at Hampshire top out at the Bachelor's degree. One of the good things about the school is its wide range of programs leading to degrees. Students at Hampshire often study music, drama and performing arts, photography and commercial art, fine arts, liberal arts, and conservation and resource management.
