 Study at Albion College
The foundation of Albion College was laid in the year 1835 when a charter was approved for the setting up of the Spring Arbor Seminary. However, it was only in 1843 that classes began in what was then called the Wesleyan Seminary. In 1850, the Albion Female Collegiate Institute was established. These two institutes merged to form the Wesleyan Seminary and Female College at Albion in 1857. In February, 1861, it was renamed the Albion College. This private liberal arts institute is now situated on a 225-acre campus in Albion, Michigan.
Albion College offers Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in over 25 fields. The courses are offered through the following academic institutes:

The sports teams of Albion College are known as the Britons. They participate in soccer, cross country, volleyball, swimming and diving, softball, track and field, tennis, golf, basketball, football, and equestrian hunt seat. The teams are members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the NCAA's Division III.
