Medical Assisting Specialist:
(Morning Classes (M-F 9am - 1pm)and Evening Classes (M,W,TH 6pm -
11pm) - Available at all campuses. Afternoon Classes (M-F 1pm - 5pm) - Available
at the Roseville Campus)
The Medical Assisting Specialist is a valued member of the medical team
in physicians' offices, clinics, and hospitals. The program prepares the student
to assist physicians in administering office operations and performing routine
duties associated with patient care. Training includes Medical Terminology,
Anatomy and Physiology, insurance coding, and a computer billing system widely
used in medical offices throughout the country. Students in this program are
supplied with one set of scrubs and one stethoscope after the first quarter of
training. The Medical Assisting Specialist contains 720 clock hours.
