Augsburg College Augsburg College is a private college of liberal arts situated in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was established as Augsburg Seminary in 1869 in Marshall and moved to Minneapolis in 1872. After a few name and status changes, it was renamed Augsburg College in 1963. Augsburg College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). The athletes participate in various sports including baseball, basketball, hockey, and swimming. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Auggies.
