 Study at Alcorn State University
Alcorn State University is a public, land-grant university located in Lorman, Mississippi, United States. It was established in the year 1871. The campus spreads across an area of 1700 acres. Alcorn was the first state-supported higher education institution for African American students. The university was named in the honor of James L. Alcorn, the then governor of Mississippi. The university offers a variety of degrees and programs in over 45 Course Topics. Alcorn is organized into the following academic divisions:
