Study at Mississippi Delta Community College
Mississippi Delta Community College, also known as MDCC, is located in Moorhead, Mississippi, United States. It was founded in 1926 as Sunflower Junior College. It became Mississippi Delta Junior College in 1961. It was christened Mississippi Delta Community College in 1989. In additon to the Moorhead campus, the college offers classes in Greenville, Drew, Indianola, and Greenwood, Mississippi. MDCC offers enrollment to more than 3,000 students. Mississippi Delta Community College offers a wide variety of degrees in the fields of business, fine arts, humanities, general education, law enforcement, math and science, and social/behavioral sciences. Distance learning programs are also available for outstation students. MDCC’s athletic teams are known as the Trojans. They participate in sports such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and softball. The football team were the winner of a national championship in 1994.
