Study at Maryville University of Saint Louis
Maryville University of St. Louis, also referred to as Maryville, was established in the year 1872 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart as an academy for women. In 1923 it became a four-year college and in 1991 it gained university status. It is one of the oldest private universities in the St. Louis, Missouri area. The campus spreads across an area of more than 250 acres. The college offers a wide range of courses, majors, and minors in diverse Course Topics. It offers education through the following schools and colleges: Maryville University’s athletics department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams. Their sports teams are known as the Saints. Maryville is a member of the NCAA Division III and competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The main campus of Maryville is in Saint Louis, MO (a large suburb). The school is a private, not-for-profit school. Maryville offers degrees up to the Doctoral degree. Course TopicsThe school students most commonly major in a field related to design, business and management, nursing and emergency medicine, and therapy and counseling. Maryville SelectivityMaryville does not accept everyone who applies. In 2007, SAT verbal scores of half of students were 490 to 620.
