Western Nebraska Community College
Western Nebraska Community College, also known as WNCC, was established in 1926, and is a community college located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The campus of the college is spread across an area of 42,000 square feet. WNCC has two branches in Sidney and Alliance Nebraska. It was initially established as an extension to University of Nebraska and was called the Scottsbluff Junior College. It changed to its present name in the year 1991. The college offers a number of academic degrees. In addition, WNCC also offers programs in Adult basic Education, Occupational Study, Business and Individual Training. WNCC’s athletics department fields a number of men's and women's sports teams. They participate in sports including basketball, baseball, volleyball, softball, and soccer. They are nicknamed as the Cougars. The cougars participate in National Junior College Athletic Association. Western Nebraska Community College is located in a self-contained town, in Scottsbluff, NE.
