Great Basin College, also known as GBC, is a two-year and four-year, comprehensive community college located in Elko, Nevada, United States. It was founded in 1967 as Elko Community College. GBC is a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education. The college offers associate and bachelor degrees in a diverse Course Topics including business, computer office technology, early childhood education, criminal justice, industrial technology, and nursing. GBC also provides career-related instruction and training to students. Great Basin College has an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations.
