Study at Central State University
Central State University’s history can be traced back to 1856, when Wilberforce University was founded. The Normal and Industrial Department was created as a part of Wilberforce University in 1887. It became the Central State College in 1951, and achieved university status in 1965. The university is located in Wilberforce, Ohio. It also operates a branch campus in Dayton.
Central State University offers a variety of degree programs through the following academic divisions:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- College of Business and Industry
- College of Education
The athletics department of CSU fields men’s and women’s teams in basketball, football, cross country, track and field, volleyball, tennis and golf. The teams compete in the Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
