Marietta College is a private, coeducational college located in Marietta, Ohio, United States. It was initially founded as Muskingum Academy in 1797 and was chartered with the present name in 1835. The college offers a large number of baccalaureate degrees in various fields, including liberal arts, natural science and business management. The small town campus of Marietta College is home to a number of student organizations and clubs, including Marietta College Math Club, Model United Nations, National Broadcast Society, Marietta College Athletic Training Student Organization and Association for Computing Machinery. The athletics teams of Marietta College are known as the Pioneers. The college fields several intercollegiate sports teams in basketball, baseball, crew, soccer, football, tennis, softball, volleyball and track & field.
