Climate:

 
Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate. Broadly speaking, the weather in Vietnam is dictated by two monsoon seasons the southwest monsoon from April to September and the northeast monsoon from October to late March or early April.

Language:

The people of Vietnam speak Vietnamese which is a tonal monosyllabic Mon- Khmer language as an official national language. In its early history, Vietnamese writing used Chinese characters. In the 13th century, the Vietnamese developed their own set of characters called Chữ n m.

Currency:

The Dong is the official currency of Vietnam. It is divided into 10 hao, which are subsequently divided into 10 xu. The hao and xu have become so insignificant recently that they are no longer issued.

Population:

The result of Census April 1, 2009 shows the population of Vietnam more than 85.8 million. Vietnamese people, of which: the so-called "Viet" or "Kinh" is nearly 73, 6 million, account for 85.8% of the population.

Capital City:

Hanoi or Ha Noi, estimated population nearly 6.5 million (2009), (but only 2.6 million (2009) in urban areas) is the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam.
