Study Medical Assisting
at Kaplan University
AAS in Medical Assisting:
Enter one of the fastest growing, most versatile professions
in the health care industry. Our Associate of Applied Science in
Medical Assisting degree program will prepare you to
become a professional medical assistant. It will also qualify
you to seek national certification and licensing.
As a medical assistant, you'll deal with patients,
physicians, and other health care providers on a regular basis.
You?ll perform a wide range of both clinical and administrative
duties. Once established in your career, you may enjoy further
opportunities, such as specialization in a field of your choice.
Though most medical assistants work in private practices, many
also find excellent jobs in hospitals and health clinics.
Students in our associate's degree program achieve a solid
foundation of academic knowledge. They also learn to perform
laboratory, clinical, and medical office procedures via hands-on
training from experienced professionals. This program is
available both and at the Davenport Campus. Students in
the program complete a clinical instruction at a clinical
site and an externship program, gaining valuable on-the-job
experience preferred by many employers.
